:  a nerve that arises as a branch of the common peroneal nerve where it forks between the fibula and the peroneus longus and that innervates or supplies branches innervating the muscles of the anterior part of the leg and the skin on the lower anterior part of the leg, on the dorsum of the foot, on the lateral and medial sides of the foot, and between the toes—called also musculocutaneous nerve; compare deep peroneal nerve
